Rooted in family tradition, the Downey family has been proudly growing apples in Ontario since 2007, starting with our beloved farm in Caledon. Driven by a passion for agriculture and bringing communities together, we expanded our roots in 2019 with our newest pick-your-own orchard in Breslau.
As a third-generation farm, we are dedicated to growing more than just high-quality fruit—we are growing traditions. Whether you are wandering through our sunflower trails in the summer, picking a fresh bouquet from our wildflower garden, or selecting the perfect apples and pumpkins in the fall, our fields are built for families.
We maintain wide, accessible paths so everyone can enjoy the countryside. From our family to yours, we invite you to visit us in Maryhill/Breslau and make your own farm memories today.
At Downey’s, our fields are bursting with fresh, seasonal variety throughout the year. We take pride in growing 14 varieties of apples and 2 kinds of pears, perfect for crisp, autumn picking.
Our patch features 12 unique varieties of pumpkins and 6 types of squash, making us your ultimate fall destination. In the summer, the farm transforms with our vibrant Sunflower Trail and a beautiful garden featuring a wide range of pick-your-own flowers. There is always something beautiful—and delicious—growing at the farm!
